"Deep Purple Dreams," the recently released CD by talented Jazz vocalist Julian Yeo, is a nostalgic throwback to the great era of crooners such as Bing Crosby. Yeo's voice is articulate and delivers a soft and stunning ambiance with spectacular style and grace. His songs are well crafted and the instruments that accompany his voice are crisp and clean. "Close Your Eyes" is a dreamy song with laid back vocals that compliment the charming lyrics. The syncopated rhythms of "Quizas, Quizas, Quizas" and "Too Darn Hot" cascades around the alluring vocal with hypnotic energy. "September Song" displays expressive vocals that swirl around the emotive and thought provoking piano.
